Choices That Matter 앱 리뷰

Amazing Game!!! But…..

I want to start by saying that this game is one of THE BEST choice based game out there. During the first and second stories, I was absolutely enthralled with the characters and small foreshadowing that existed. Every choice felt like it absolutely made a difference. My only complaint has to do with romances. I love that it gives you the option of who to be with, and wether or not you actually want love, but I wish there was more content after getting together, as the stories seemed to just end after you confess your love. There’s also just a few inconsistencies along the story. In The Sun Went Out, (SPOILERS), scientists were gathering on the plane and the story was making it seems as if I had never met Petrus, even though I spent time with him it Italy. It also talked about Wong as if we were friends, though I did not interact with the aetherites AT ALL in Tokyo. Other than these small things, this game is a TEN OUT OF TEN!!!

Love this

Story line is good, love the choices! Definitely keeps me wanting to click to the next stage!

REdownloading

Fell in LOVE, I came across this game again and holy cow flooded with memories… I am downloading again. This game is immersive I think I remember playing on my Apple Watch years ago. Definitely try it out, you wont be able to stop!

Seriously amazing in every way possible im crying

Just finished my first story and im genuinely crying rn i haven’t even been playing that long but i feel like ive been living in that world forever it was just so well done and thorough and nuanced and so beautiful 😭😭😭 i was NOT expecting it to hit that hard. Mild spoilers maybe??? But the “Am I asleep?” And the “Of course!” Immediately just made me pause and cry a good minute. Truly every choice and detail matters and absolutely nothing is insignificant. I love finding incredibly niche games with this amount of effort put into it, it’s art. Im definitely going to continue playing this. It’s crazy that its free. Pro tip for anyone reading if you dont wanna do the 90 cents just take 10 tickets every day til u get 30 or 40 cuz itll get you through the arc USUALLY and its good for pacing ❤️ I LOVE THIS OMFGGGG i could rant all day and night. Moti 😭Thank yalll

Amazing story!

I rarely spend money on apps but I got completely hooked on “and the sun went out” that I’ve spent about 7 dollars or so on tickets and eventually just buying the whole story LOL Also wish the ads to get some tickets worked :/

It Was Okay

The events of the story were repetitive in a way that was frustrating. I’m glad I made it to the end, though. I actually would prefer reading a good novel.

Racialized depictions of black characters

Particularly in the story the “heroes are lost” the black team member (number 48) was consistently likened to an animal and a beast. In one instance he is referred to as a “large man like, black creature” which was genuinely so disturbing and saddening to read, especially as a young Black person. I really did enjoy playing this game but am so beyond disheartened to see such a blatantly racist depiction of a Black man. I really hope this is edited in future versions in this game, and for the writers and developers to take accountability and genuinely work towards changing their own perceptions of Black people and work to bring about equity and understanding in their company.

Needs more

The app is great but needs a reread option and more stories.

And the sun went out

I really enjoyed this book! I truly thought my choices made huge differences in the story. I loved that the romantic part of the storyline was inclusive of queer and aromantic people. I came to enjoy Moti, eventhough they felt like a distraction at first. I am looking forward to going through it again after I check out the other stories!

Choices Matter + Great Writing

Every choice you make actually has consequences and can drastically change the out come of your story, so you feel more absorbed and invested in the characters. The stories are also very well written and feel more akin to a publishable novel vs. the more “Wattpad”, less professional writing style other interactive games tend to feature. My only complaint would be the amount of free tickets you get in an hour, but you can earn as many tickets as you want through watching ads, so it isn’t too big a deal.

Rewind, stories, etc...

I love this game, and I love playing it especially with the different endings. There are a few things I would like to be possibly changed and/or added if able. I like the multiple endings for each story, however I am not entirely sure how lany endings there truly are. Not only would I like to know how many there are, but I would like to be able to obtain all of them. I feel like we should have an achievement page of some sort to see what we have achieved and have not. Another recommendation I have is possibly more stories, I love the game I do. However playing the same three stories can get boring, having to skip through all of the dialogue to get to a new path is complicated. Last but not least I feel like the rewind button should allow me to change my previous answer, sometimes I pick the wrong choice and want to rewind. But having to fast forward the entire story from the last Arc is frustrating. You don't have to do any of this, however I feel like personally it would be easier to keep track of, more entertaining with fresh stories, and easier to use.

Amazing!!

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this game deserves it. Out of the three options, And The Sun Went Out is the best. One thing that I love is how there is romance / no romance options and a pick between two- your gender and name is never mentioned, which I find nice too. Replaying ATSWO for a second time and I’m getting stuff I didn’t even know happened! I’m definitely going to be replaying all games in a different path. One of my favorite things is how the game, at the end of each arc, tells you what’s happening and a percent of people on that path- once, I got on a path of 1% of players! All in all, I HIGHLY suggest playing this! I don’t buy tickets so it can take awhile to complete, but it’s 100% worth it!!

Had me crying!

These stories are SO good! Every single choice has a consequence, and I love how it tells you what percentage of people are on the same story arc as yours!!

AMAZING I NEED MORE

2000/10 just finished and their hero’s were lost it’s amazing

No More Tickets

Had this for about a year and a half, worked fine was really fun. Now I have no way of getting anymore tickets!! I can’t watch for any and I don’t get any daily tickets to make actual choices anymore… I literally can’t play it because I can’t move forward without a ticket. Please fix it, it really is a good app

Good

Good

Lovin’ it (better than mcdonalds)

The best choice based game i have ever seen and the stories are lovable and im still working on “and the sun went out” overall its the best game on my phone So far!

only sans serif font

I wish there was an option to read in serif font. I’d think this is a reasonable ask for a game that is intensive on reading.

Great game overall

I love how the game is changed based on the choices that you pick. And how there are other stories to choose. It’s also great that you are able to play where you have left off cause it saves automatically 😊

Such an amazing game, high recommendations

The titles can literally give me a quick idea as they are meant to do so in every other book. Like the first one, I thought the sun gonna be exploding and that earth would have to evacuate on a spaceship. And for real, I thought the stories were connected to each other. But so far, one of the best interactive storytelling games out there and as far as I can see, I like to imagine and perceive the game as a way to tell Karma, as for each choice will unlock the next path to something and decide what the said religious aspect has in store for us, good or bad. I’m in awe of this game for making me think of this, keep the scaffolding up with this game; don’t let it be forgotten , and if it will be in the near future, it is okay to be sad about it, but be happy that it has happened, for something small can have a huge effect on the world. Thank you, and you are welcome. :D

one of the best games ive ever played!!

everything was well cared for and thought out.

You can’t reread past lines

In my opinion this is a huge fundamental flaw with this game. I feel like for a story based game, being able to actually, you know, read the story in full as you’ve progressed so far. If this was a paper book in front of you, it’s like every time you finish a page it burns up and you can never read that page again. Except in the case of this game instead of even every page it’s nearly every sentence. This is a huge problem for maintaining continuity and context who pick this game up for short sessions over time. And I get it, you guys probably did it to get people to want to keep playing for long periods of time, and therefore spend money to keep being able to make decisions and progress the story. But the way it’s set up now it’s hostile to the free players. It’s also inaccessible. For people who have cognitive issues or other neurodivergences and can’t always recall or maintain the focus needed to make the choices they wanted to without having all the rest of the story available to them, it’s nearly unplayable. I’m sure it wouldn’t be too hard to create a setting that players can toggle on or off to able to read the story thus far, come on, you can do it

lovely <3

brought me to tears, the stories were wonderful

Love this story

I just finished my second run for ‘And The Sun Went Out’ and I loved it so much ITS SO GOOD. I really like how many different things can happen on a single choice. That’s why this is my favorite choice-game app😁

Love this game

This is one of my favorite choice based games. The stories are actually interesting and I love that your choices do have an actual impact on the story.

Got boring really fast

I found the story stale. Didn’t see much of a reason to stick around. Story so lacking that I found myself not really thinking about the choices.

Great and Bad

“And the Sun Went Out” - (5/5) - This is a heartwarming story that stuck to my heart for days. Your choices matter in this story and it’s a good wake-up call to be more mindful when making decisions. “And Their Heroes Were Lost” - (2/5) - Unlike the first story where your choices matter, here your choices don’t and I’ve tried many times. On one try, I made all cautious and cooperative decisions. On another, I made all impulsive and aggressive decisions. I’ve tried rescuing the girl and not rescuing her. No matter what I do, I still end up with the same negative ending. “And Their Souls We’re Eaten” (?) - This story doesn’t hold my interest, so I can’t say if it’s good or not. If you play this game, I’d definitely play the first one, which leaves you feeling hopeful and skip the last one, which leaves you feeling hopeless.

I’m confused

How do I play it on my watch

Amazing

This game has practically endless replay-ability and a very interesting stories I’d def recommend buying the full pass it’s like 1$ for each story

Wow

This is the most immersive interactive fiction game I’ve ever played.

Despair

It broke my heart.. i've reached a dead end. Althought the plot and events were captivating thank you. I recommend the developers to make a movie certainly deserves

Good game but ads for tickets doesn’t work for me

Finished the game any a year ago, loved it, and downloaded again yesterday. However, the ads for tickets doesn’t work for me, and just says none available now, check back later

The Ads Kill the Gameplay

I had this downloaded before they included the ads, and it was incredible! The ads would be exchanged for a ticket after you watched one so you could continue the story. Now they come up every other choice and the story is entirely interrupted. This was one of my favorite apps ever and I usually dont mind ads but the amount in this game is awful.

Amazing but..

I’m sad the stories have to end at one point 😭

Great so far

I just got this today for my watch, but i’ve been reading the stories from my phone and they are incredible. I wish there was a book for these so i won’t have to wait for my next choice, and i can just read the whole story. If anyone knows any I would like to know.

Amazing

One of the best story telling games i have played

Phenomenal Adventure

I play souls were eaten and it is an exciting mix of emotion that you will feel as the reader. Well crafted and pacing is excellent. Enough detail for it to be immersive, yet not so much as to be cumbersome. Support this game master. This is a real review, from a real player. Lot of reviews today are suspect imo- but this here some real good shi- Review will continue after technical problems are corrected…

Great game

Truly enjoyable, very engrossing.

Not fun

Way too many ads, and the story writing isn’t great. Kinda confusing. Writers seemed to try to make it intense and mysterious, but it’s just confusing and the tone isn’t created well, which leaves it feeling corny. There is a long unskippable ad after every three lines of dialog it seems. Choices are weird and unprompted.

Best app I own

I never write reviews, but this one just deserved it. I’ve had choices for about a year now, and I think I’ve played souls all the way through about ten times, if not more- you just can’t get tired of it. All the stories are super detailed and unique, which is super hard to get out of fiction nowadays; I can’t think of another book series or app that has a storyline similar. I’ve bought all three passes, and I’m super glad I did- if you aren’t sure whether to go ahead with the pass, or if you are frustrated with the ads, it’s so worth it.

too many ads

I downloaded this not even 5 minutes ago and was excited to start playing. It started the story off with an ad…expected…the got the first choice and the moment I selected one I was interrupted with another ad. Also expected. 30 seconds later, I was presented with another ad. And these aren’t quick ads that you can skip in 5-15 seconds, they’re interactive ones where you’re forced to press the “x” 3 times AND exit out of the pop up where it tries to bring you to the app store. I understand it’s a free to play game and the devs need to make money, but I play plenty of these kinds of games and this is by far the most ads I’ve ever gotten in such a short period of time. Not even worth it to try to play the game and see what it’s really about…do better devs, I’m sorry.

Ads Appear Every Minute - Literally

I don’t mind playing games with ads throughout them—and I play a lot of games like that. This is the first one that I couldn’t even start to get immersed in, because the ads pop up nearly every minute. I’m not exaggerating—I’d tap through two, maybe three pages of the story, and there’s the next ad. I completely understand the need for them, but the story I’d picked was not engaging enough for me to force my way through or pay for it. I don’t know if there’s a way to pick the placement and frequency with which they pop up, but if so, that might be something the developers could consider in the future.

Awesome

This game has compelling story’s great mechanics and great storytelling beat mobile game I have ever played

I just want a way to get out of viewing ads

I would pay to avoid them, just want the option to opt-out of the ad experience. Even if it was 5 bucks to opt out, I would do it. I can’t stand reading two sentences and then getting an ad that lasts longer than it took for me to read the prior portion of the story. It’s ridiculous guys, just add a “No Ads If You Pay” option please, because plenty of people would buy it and the sheer amount of ads ruins the gaming experience

don’t bother.

got two ads within the first 30 seconds of playing it. i was allowed to read about 5 prompts then got an ad both times. didn’t even get to make any choices yet.

Too Many (AD) Ads!

This game (AD) seemed like a very (AD) creative and (AD) interesting concept. The constant (AD) barrage of ads (AD) every few clicks is really (AD) annoying. I’ve had this (AD) app downloaded pretty much since (AD) it was released, and (AD) the ads (AD) were never this prevalent or (AD) obnoxious. Definitely not (AD) recommended at this time (AD).

Choose to avoid this app.

This app have a dialogue ticket system that you have to maintain with real money to keep up with the story. This app also have Ads ever there dialogue and you can just skip them it’s goes like this: I went up stairs (tap to next dialogue) I saw a bush (tap to next dialogue) A decision: leave it or inspect. (tap to next dialogue) (Lose a ticket) ****Ads play*** Nothing in the bush (tap to next dialogue) Walk to the house (tap to next dialogue) A decision: enter house or knock on door (tap to next dialogue) (Lose a ticket) ****Ads play*** This is what happens through the whole game. It’s a cash grab for a mediocre story.

What’s next??!!

I’ve now done all 3 stories and am left to wonder: what’s next??! These are great “choose your path” stories, though over the course of 3 attempts at all 3, I end up in the same place in the end despite deliberately choosing different paths… Can’t wait for more!!
